Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes the limited information associated with Denver Residents Directory and the choices available to visitors. The reference uses no account system and does not keep a resident database. Search forms and outside records portals can follow their own policies, so the destination of information matters.

Information You Submit

Names, phone numbers and addresses entered into a search form are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Denver Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you send a message, the mailbox receives the details in that message and uses them to answer or route the request.

Routine Technical Logs

Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, viewed pages and timestamps. Those ordinary server logs help maintain availability and measure page use in aggregate. Basic analytics, cookies or advertising measurement may also operate where the hosting and search providers use them.

How Limited Data Is Used

Information is used to keep the reference available, answer correspondence, diagnose errors, understand general traffic and improve page clarity. Denver Residents Directory does not sell visitor lists or create individual profiles from the public-record topics described in its pages.

Links and Search Providers

Links lead to Denver, Colorado and federal portals, Denver Public Library collections, archives, courts and third-party search providers. Each outside service controls what a visitor submits there and publishes its own privacy terms. Sponsored search results are supplied by a third party and are not controlled by Denver Residents Directory.

Who Processes Technical Data

Hosting, analytics, advertising and search providers may process the technical or submitted information described above. A disclosure may also occur when valid legal process requires it. No other disclosure is intended.

Security Measures

Pages are served over an encrypted connection when supported by the host. Logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no Denver Residents Directory accounts, passwords or personal profiles stored for visitors.

Visitors Under 18

The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Denver Residents Directory does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact the address on the Contact page if a minor has sent information so the message can be reviewed and removed when appropriate.

Colorado Privacy Choices

The Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. ยงยง 6-1-1301 et seq., can give eligible consumers rights to access, correct, delete or obtain portable data held by a covered controller, along with opt-out choices for sale, targeted advertising and certain profiling. Because this reference keeps very little direct visitor data, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable server records. Use the Contact page to make a request.

Those rights do not erase a City and County of Denver recording, a court docket, a voter record, a vital certificate or a Denver Public Library collection. A removal or correction request for a government or historical record belongs with the custodian office and its governing law. Colorado's Global Privacy Control guidance is published by the Attorney General at the Colorado opt-out page.

Changes to This Policy

A revised version will be posted on this page when the data practices or legal references change. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
